Please make sure you take regular backups of your emails. We rely more and more on our email communication and any data loss, even from a slip of the delete button is never good.
If you use eM Client, this has a built in backup setting that will backup your emails when you close the app (and leave the computer on).
You can set this up by going into the settings area:
Tick the "Enable Backup" and then select the target directory you wish to backup to, the frequecy you want to backup and how many backups you want to store.
NOTE: This is a basic backup system, so if you need to restore specific emails this might not be the one for you. When you restore this backup it will restore to that backup, so anything from the backup to the time of restoration will be lost.
A partial restore can be done, but it's not as simple as it could be.
